The challenges we face
Ageing & health
We are living longer, but not better. Elderly people face multiple challenges related to health issues, cognitive decline, social stigma, loneliness, and poverty.
People with chronic illnesses
Achieve a quality of life equivalent to the general population. Chronic diseases account for 77% of all diseases in Europe.
People with limiting and/or degenerative abilities
Remove the physical, mental, and/or social barriers that limit the quality of life of people with disabilities or degenerative diseases.
Education
Curricula can quickly become outdated, making it hard to keep up with the skills and knowledge needed to develop critical, creative, and employable individuals.
Employability
Labour market insertion in Spain is low compared to other European countries. The unemployment rate for 2022 was 13%, the highest in the Eurozone (6.7%).
